Faculty Development Programme (FDP) – CRAFT, Ramaiah University, Bengaluru


A five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP), CRAFT, was conducted at Ramaiah University, Bengaluru, from 15–19 June 2026.


The programme was jointly facilitated by Dr. I. K. Bhat, former Vice-Chancellor, Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, and former Director of NIT Hamirpur and NIT Jaipur, and Dr. Daleep Parimoo, Professor of Practice, Manav Rachna University, Faridabad.


Designed as an intensive, hands-on learning experience, the programme combined contemporary management practices with insights drawn from Indian knowledge systems. Faculty members participated in experiential workshops, simulations, case studies, collaborative exercises, and interactive discussions aimed at enhancing teaching effectiveness, leadership capabilities, and institutional excellence.

The programme was distinguished by its innovative integration of ancient wisdom with modern management concepts:


  • Team Building through lessons from the Panchatantra.
  • Communication based on the strategic philosophy of Chanakya.
  • Vision and Strategy enriched with perspectives from Chanakya and Sun Tzu.
  • Crisis Management explained using the Chakravyuha from the Mahabharata as a model for navigating complex organizational challenges.

The highly interactive workshop format ensured active participation, practical application, and meaningful learning. The enthusiastic engagement of the faculty members contributed significantly to the success of the programme.
